Frequently Asked Questions

1.   What days can I return to my home school?


Students moving from the HUB back to regular school can happen prior to September 30.  After September 30, students can only move back to schools at the quarter semesters, as outlined below.  This is done to ensure that we have adequate staffing in all of our buildings to support students and families where they are most comfortable.

Re-entry #1 Commitment Oct. 29; Start Nov. 12 

Re-entry #2 Commitment Jan. 18; Start Feb. 1

Re-entry #3 Commitment Apr. 7; Start Apr. 21

 

A survey will be sent to HUB families prior to the end of the quarter to confirm their intentions.

 

2.   I changed my mind and wish to attend The Hub.  How do I register?

Please contact your Home MHPSD School to request registration at The Hub.  Discuss this with your school administrator.

 

3.   I need a device.  How can I access a Chromebook?

Please contact your Home MHPSD School to request a Chromebook.  Further details and FAQ's about Chromebooks can be found by clicking here.  Note that if you are purchasing for multiple children, you will need to complete Step 1 in the Purchase Instructions for each child.

   4.   Financial constraints for buying a Chromebook?

5.   Issues logging on?

Your child has a temporary password for their district account that must be changed when they first sign in.  The username is the first 4 letters of their first name and the first four letters of their last name @sd76.net.  For example, Harry Potter would have the username harrpott@sd76.net.

Their temporary password will be: _______

In order to change their password, they will need to use a district Chromebook.  Students will be receiving these Chromebooks very soon from their home SD76 school if this has been arranged.  Until a district device is used, their temporary password will continue to work.

6.   I’ve received no communication from my teacher at the Hub yet and I am concerned?

Thank you for your patience.  We are doing our best to support our families.  If you need help getting in touch with your teacher, please feel free to email or call either of our Principals and they will assist you.

 

7.   Can The Hub offer flexible programming for my child?
